This course utilizes Biblical and scientific references to heighten students' awareness of the human response to suffering and adversity. Historical figures and examples from the Bible will be highlighted to illustrate this phenomenon. Participants will increase their awareness of the impact of protective factors and risk factors on resilience. The concept of posttraumatic growth will also be discussed. Additionally, students will discover their own capacity for stress tolerance. They will also learn about the essential tools for building a firm spiritual foundation.
